Večkrat nagrajeni pisatelj Goran Vojnović se je v širšem slovenskem kulturnem prostoru najbolj uveljavil z leta 2008 prvič objavljenim romanom Čefurji raus!. Preveden v gledališki jezik kot monokomedija v režiji Mareta Bulca in interpretaciji Aleksandra Rajakovića – Saleta je po premieri v gledališču Glej doživel več kot 300 ponovitev. Prav tako je gledališko priredbo doživel njegov drugi s Kresnikom nagrajen roman Jugoslavija, moja dežela, ki je bil prvič objavljen leta 2012.

Štiri leta kasneje je objavil še tretji roman Figa, ob tem režiral še štiri kratke in dva celovečerna filma ter sodeloval pri drugih projektih kot scenarist. Redne kolumne objavlja tudi v Dnevnikovem sobotnem Objektivu.

 

Award-winning writer Goran Vojnović made a name for himself on the Slovenian cultural scene with Čefurji Raus!, the 2008 novel on second-generation immigrants from former Yugoslavia. The novel was adapted for theatre as a one-man comedy by theatre director Mare Bulc, featuring Aleksandar Rajaković – Sale as the protagonist. Following the opening night at the Glej theatre, the production has been performed for more than 300 times. Vojnović’s second novel, Yugoslavia, My Fatherland, published in 2012, won him the second Kresnik Prize for best novel of the year. It was also adapted for theatre.

Four years later, he published his third novel, entitled The Fig. In the meantime, he directed four short and two feature films, and worked as screenwriter on several other projects. He is a columnist for the newspaper Dnevnik’s Saturday supplement Objektiv.
