Lotte Mik-Meyer je danska režiserka dokumentarnih filmov. Leta 2008 je bila nominirana za Danish Dox Award za dokumentarec Arabska iniciativa (Det arabiske initiativ). Film govori o danskem akademiku in njegovem potovanju v Kairo, kjer se trudi pomiriti napetosti med Bližnjim vzhodom in dansko državo, ki so nastale po objavi danske karikature preroka Mohameda. Letos je Lotte posnela dokumentarni film o izgnanem predsedniku z Madagaskarja.

Izobraževala se je na Danskem, v Mozambiku, Veliki Britaniji in Franciji, dokumentarne filme je snemala na Bližnjem vzhodu, v Južni Afriki in na Madagaskarju. Poleg svojih filmskih projektov tudi poučuje novinarje in druge medijske ustvarjalce, kako pripovedovati zgodbe s kamero.

Lotte Mik-Meyer is a Danish documentary film director, nominated for 2008 Danish Dox Award for her documentary The Arab Initiative (Det arabiske initiativ). The film documents a Danish academic’s mission to Cairo to calm the tensions between Denmark and the Middle East, which erupted after a Danish newspaper published the caricature of prophet Mohammed. This year Lotte released her feature-length documentary on the President of Madagascar, ousted by a military coup.  

She studied in Denmark, Mozambique, the United Kingdom and France. She has independently shot her documentaries in the Middle East, South Africa and Madagascar. In addition to film projects, she also teaches journalists and other media workers how to tell a story with a camera.
